We hope you enjoy exploring the web site and see some of the ways God is working in this place called St. James the Less.
St. James the Less, named after one of the 12 apostles, is an Episcopal Church located in Ashland, Virginia about 15 miles north of Richmond. We are a welcoming and inclusive congregation of all ages, backgrounds and traditions. We have programs directed at all ages from the “wee ones” to adults.
If you are not familiar with the Episcopal Church you will find St. James a great place to experience it in a warm and loving community of faith. We don’t always have all the answers but we do love to explore the questions!
We are engaged in spreading the faith through building a community of relationships with one another bound together through Jesus Christ. We worship God in the beauty of holiness, have fantastic active youth programs and we reach out to those in need. We also have a Free Clinic providing dental, eye and health care. Just one of the many ways we reach out with God’s love and care.
If you live in the area you’re invited and encouraged to stop by some Sunday for the 10:00 service and see for yourself first hand. You don’t have to wear a suit, give any money or join! Just come and see the amazing things God is doing!
