The Rector of St. James the Less works with a 12 member Vestry whose members are confirmed communicants with official church residence in this parish. The Vestry members are vested with their authority over the temporal affairs of the parish by the active communicants of St. James the Less. This happens each year at the annual parish meeting when four persons are elected to serve a three-year term on the Vestry. Vestry members support and enable the ministry of the Parish with their time, abilities and stewardship. They lead others in the parish in the exercise of their individual ministries. They keep in touch with the different groups, commissions and committees in the parish. They also provide direction and leadership for the financial concerns of the parish.
