
The Rev. David T. Anderson
The Rev. David T. Anderson joins St. James the Less as our new Priest-In-Charge. His first Sunday at SJTL will be December 11, 2011. David most recently was Vicar at St. Stephen’s Church, Richmond, where he had responsibilities for administration, preaching, pastoral care, teaching, outreach, youth ministry and worship. Prior to being at St. Stephen’s, he was the chaplain at St. Christopher’s Episcopal School, Richmond.
David has a BA in psychology from Washington & Lee, a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt, a PhD in theology from Union Theological Seminary and completed the required Anglican Studies courses from Virginia Theological Seminary. David was born in Halifax, Va., but has lived in Richmond since he married his wife Mary. She went to St. Gertrude’s High School and graduated from VCU. She teaches middle school science at St. Christopher’s School. Their three children are still in school: Matt is in law school at University of Richmond; Maggie graduated from William and Mary in May and is currently in graduate school at William and Mary; Alexa is a sophomore at Longwood University. The family enjoys the outdoors, reading, exercise, and playing with the dogs, Bella and Beau.
